It never ceases to amaze

I heard myself say something today that I never expected to come out of my mouth,   ” You do not write on your sister!” This was said in response to Megan asking me if there was pen on her face.  Sitting next to her is her adorable little sister with pen in hand and that look on her face, the look that says if I sit here really still maybe she will not see me.  Although I realize just how silly the question was I had to ask, “how did you get pen on your cheek?” There was no immediate answer, just the movement of eyes, Madi’s to the floor and Megan’s to her sister and finally Madison’s toward me.  Then the expected, “I don’t know”.

Not sure which is the more interesting thing here, the child who does the action or the one who allows it to happen.
