Ready to go home

So, after a year of preparation, much anticipation and money spent,a good time was had by the entire family but to be honest I can not wait to get home! I want to sleep in my own bed, eat in my own kitchen and just lay on my sofa. We did have a ton of fun! We did the parks from front to back and inside out. We saw every show, rode every ride (well most of us did), and we ate a ton of food.

I will not miss the several block long walk to my room but I will miss the friends that we have been watching of the balcony.

Madison’s stomach is still not normal. We hit every bathroom in Hollywood studios at least twice. Megan joined the club today with a good cough. Traveling with kids is not easy! With that said, I and so happy we were able to do this with them. A trip like this may never come again but the memories will last forever!

Aloha!

Another beautiful day in sunny Florida although it did start off chilly. As we left the hotel this morning it was very chilly, about 55 degrees. It was a nice morning and the weather called for a beautiful day so I dressed the girls in shorts and tee shirts. As soon as we walked outside Frank asked if we wanted him to run back to the room for sweatshirts. Of course i said no since I would be the one carrying them around as son as they came off, and the girls agreed which made it easy. Stating at the bus stop I started to second guess but of course would not admit it. Standing in line at the Magic Kingdom waiting to get in for our breakfast at the castle we were cold, that is until the sun started to burn through the fog, thank goodness!

After breakfast we did something which was symbolically very important to all of us, we went to see one of the newest character added to the Disney visiting schedule, Merida. For those who have read earlier posts, you know that she has become important to my family. I will go more in detail on another post, glad we all got to meet her!

The day wrapped up at Disney’s Spirit of Aloha show which was cute. The food was good and the girls had fun oh and one again the other 3 members of my family ended up on stage so a fun time was had by all!

Tomorrow is a long day at Hollywood studios, and I am tired. The rest of the family is already asleep so I think I will join them.

They don’t get much better than this!

Waking up to sunshine was a good sign, Madison’s stomach feeling better was a better sign but being the first to be seated at the Tusker House buffet with Donald Duck and friends set up a great day! I can not say I have ever had the pleasure of being first in line at a freshly stocked buffet. What makes this even more special was being the first table in line for the characters to visit so we were able to wrap up a great meal which was loved by the kids in 35 minutes setting us on our way to the safari.

The weather was just gorgeous today! Having Madison feeling better and smiling again made the day bright for all of us!

Megan was able to ride Expedition Everest 5 times making today complete for her. Madison on the other hand hates rides so Frank and I took turns walking with her collecting stamps for her discovery card. She completed her card which made the day complete for her. Seeing the girls happy made the day complete for me and having all of us happy, well I guess that makes the day complete for the hubby.

Tomorrow we are set for breakfast at Cinderella’s castle and dinner at the luau. The weather looks to again be fabulous. I look forward to another great day!
