Travel soccer, pain meds and luaus

And it begins, the travel soccer season is off to a running start with a 2 day tournament.  Megan is very excited.  She is starting and was told she would play at least the entire first half as full back.  There are 2 games today and at least one game tomorrow 2 if they do well.  It should be a fun day!

At the beginning of the week it was questionable as to whether I would go to the game.  Thankfully I am feeling better!  I am worried about the car ride but will take my pain meds and cross my fingers. The games  are early which is good and there is only a 1 hour gap between the games.  We should be home by noon in time for a nap!

I had to call the doctor’s office yesterday for more pain meds. I am not out yet but it hit me that it is a holiday weekend and no one would be around until Tuesday.  I did not want to get into a situation where I could not deal with but thankfully we do not need to worry about that!

So the Disney Planning update of the day.  One that I think will be a favorite for all.  The day will start with breakfast at Cinderella’s castle.  We did this last time we were in Disney and the girls had a blast!  The day will end with Franks wish list item, the luau .  I am happy with everything so it should be a great day!

Time to get moving to soccer..looking forward to getting out of the house and into the air for a few hours.  This is my first outing since the last survey.  Fingers crossed!

Just another day

I start the day with the hope that today is better than the last.  Yesterday started with the system issues at Disney which was not really bad but a foreshadowing of things to come.

During the afternoon I had an oportunity to lay down for a while which I jumped on.  I grabbed 2 ice packs settled in flat on my back with the packs under each arm.  Ahhh the comfort.  It did not take long to slide off to dream land.  I do not know how long I was asleep when I heard the sounds of my doorknob being rattled followed by the doorbell.  I was in such a deep sleep I twisted and jumped straight up ice packs flying.  Turns out it was of course my husband who forgot his key.  I swore I pulled all of the stitches out of the right side.  Thankfully after sitting quietly with another ice pack and a pill the pain subsided.

Once I was again in a happy place, I began to get dinner ready for the kids before soccer practice.  Raviolli.  I started to boil the water and then headed to the fridge for an already opened bottle of sauce (by no means am I Julia Childs in the kitchen). As I pulled the bottle out it hit me that the lid was not secure.  When did it hit you may ask?  Well when the bottle dropped to the floor staying fully intact, which I believe made the situation worse.  Sauce literally  shot over 20 feet into my dinning room hitting not only chairs and the table but leaving a red streak as far as the eye could see across the beige carpet.  I stood screaming which brought the entire family to the scene.  There was a time early in our marriage that this would have caused a screaming fight between Frank and I over who put the jar away open.  Thankfully those days are long gone and everyone jumped in to clean up.  Once almost finished someone looked up, it was on the ceiling also! OMG!

Pain once again after carpet scrubbing, more pills. The carpet is not perfect but with 2 kids, an 80 pound dog and a husband it was not before the sauce.

So the Disney planning of the day.  Thankfully no issues today! These will be for a day spent in Animal Kingdom.  We will start at The Tusker House Cafe with Donald and the gang for Breakfast and The Rainforest Cafe for a fun and lively lunch.  We will head back to the hotel for an African inspired restaurant meal at Sanaa.

We are all so looking forward to this trip!

Just a little blue

I am a little down at the moment.  I was allowed to take the dressing off yesterday and although I intended to leave them on longer, I changed my mind.  I did it mainly because I wanted to change them.  Now, I fully realized that this process was not a breast augmentation and that we were not going to have perfect boobies once complete.  I fully realize that I am only 4 days out of surgery.  I fully realize that I am swollen and that I have fresh incisions from the nips to under my arms on both sides.

Now, fully realizing these things does not mean I was not a bit taken back when I looked into the mirror.  I feel like the nipples are huge and one is larger than the other, maybe they will reduce in size as swelling goes down.  I am happy with the size and the air bags are gone…happy things.  I feel like one points up and one points down and that there is a significant difference in the center points between the two.  I know normal healthy breasts are not prefect but I feel like these issues are really glaring.

Frank says to relax, step back.  Let the swelling go down, let the healing take place for a few days at least before I get upset.  I see the doctor on Wednesday…for the first time it hit me that maybe I am not finished with surgery…oh god.  I will do my best to push it to the back of my head until Wednesday.

So a snapshot for how my week is going…I wake up early to get the days Disney dinning reservations booked.  The on-line system seemed to be having issues so I go old school and pick up the phone and call.  After a few minutes the lovely woman on the other end informs that Disney prides itself on having one of the best IT systems in the world and with that said the system seemed to be down.  I wonder how often this happens..the Bailey’s broke the Disney Reservation system!

On a happier note, it is now a few hours later and meals are mostly booked!!  I am glad I have this to distract me for a bit each day.  Today is highlighted by Chef Mickey for breakfast and  dinner with Chip and Dale at The Garden Grill.  We want to have some steaks in Canada for lunch but for some reason Le Cellier has not opened up that week yet.  It is never easy :-).  At least we have the others booked.  There is always tomorrow!
